Time Evolution of the Modulus of Elasticity of Metakaolin-Based Geopolymer

The objective of the research is to develop a new family geopolymeric materials and use an experimental methodology characterize mechanical behavior obtained by alkaline activation metakaolin using compound activator. researchers also intend study unknown time evolution modulus elasticity influence composition aggregates on strength material. Like material’s strength, results have direct structural safety evaluations. For analysis properties mixtures, different types tests were carried out: Flexural compression parallelepipeds cylinders performed assess main characteristics metakaolin-based geopolymers. Regarding aggregate composition, show that correction particle size line did not improve properties. From about 400 h curing, at ambient temperatures, material are almost invariable. highest value elastic occurs around 420 h, 18 GPa. independent test load rate as per standards, 1.7‰ strain was observed during maximum compressive stresses in rupture tests. Also, secant values 60% 80% stress within 12% 40% stress.
